The most popular day tours in Australia

The most popular day tours in Australia include Great Barrier Reef cruises and. But what is the number one experience?

Day tours in Australia are a big business. The Australian cities can be spectacular, but the real reason most overseas visitors come to Australia is the great outdoors. Often the best way to see the country’s nature and wildlife is on a day tour, and there are hundreds of options around the country.

But which Australian day tours are the most popular? To find out, Australia Travel Questions used global tours and experiences search engine Viator and searched every tour and experience it offers in Australia.

At time of writing, that is 4,188 tours. Putting them in featured order is not an exact way of identifying the most popular day tours in Australia, but it’s a pretty good proxy.

In compiling this list, there’s a one per city rule. Otherwise it’ll just be filled with Great Barrier Reef cruises from Cairns. So it’s one tour from Sydney, one tour from Melbourne, one tour from Cairns and so on.

Prices are correct at time of writing but may be subject to change in future.
