Scarborough Beach is arguably the most attractive in Perth. It is long, backed by wild dunes and has enough places to eat and drink to keep things interesting. It’s hardly Bondi Beach or Cactus Beach in terms of surf quality, but Scarborough does have its very own surf school.

The best place to swim in Perth?

If Scarborough surfing lessons don’t appeal and all you want is a swim, then the new Scarborough Beach Pool might just be the best place to swim in Perth. There’s no swell to contend with, no dangerous rips and no sharks lurking in the water.

Scarborough Beach Pool benefits enormously, of course, from the long Indian Ocean beach backdrop. But it’s a pretty impressive pool in its own right.
