Yandina Markets: Sunshine Coast flea markets dates and hours

Yandina Markets: Sunshine Coast flea markets dates and hours

The Yandina Markets in Queensland are held at the Yandina Sports Complex. These Sunshine Coast flea markets take place every Saturday from 6am to 12 noon.

The Yandina Markets are not the most illustrious markets on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. That honour goes to the Eumundi Markets, which have hundreds of arts, crafts and food stalls.

The Eumundi Markets are very much aimed at tourists, however, and the Yandina Markets are a local affair. Nobody really goes to the Yandina Markets to shop for souvenirs, wood carvings or paintings of koalas.

This Sunshine Coast flea market has a less polished feel. There’s the joy of finding treasure amongst the trash. It is much closer in spirit to European flea markets than the Rocks Market in Sydney or Mindil Beach Market in Darwin.

Yandina Markets opening times

The Yandina Markets opening times are strictly limited, too. The markets take place between 6am and 12 noon on Saturday mornings.

The flea markets are held at the Yandina Sports Complex, which is very close to the Buderim Ginger Factory.

Yandina isn’t exactly the best known spot on the Sunshine Coast, but it’s on the Bruce Highway on the drive north from Brisbane to Hervey Bay. It’s roughly due west of Coolum and close to Wappa Falls.

The Yandina Sports Complex is 32km south-west of Hastings Street in Noosa Heads and 30km north-east of Mooloolaba. Coming from Montville, gateway to the Kondalilla National Park, Yandina is a 26km drive to the north-west.
