The Merrymaker rooftop bar is a relatively new addition to Adelaide’s bar scene, and it’s a fun one too. On top of the Hotel Indigo Adelaide Markets, this bar has become a hit with locals as well as hotel guests.

It’s not a subtle joint. This Adelaide rooftop bar comes decked out with lots of pink chair, although there’s a good mix of low sofas and booths as well.

You can get local South Australian beers from the likes of Mismatch Brewing and Pirate Life at the Merrymaker rooftop bar, but the emphasis is firmly on cocktails. Options include an Adam’s Apple, with bourbon, St Germain, apple juice and cinnamon.

The food menu at the Merrymaker rooftop bar is sharing-focused and somewhat snacky. You can get a margarita or prosciutto pizza, but there are more options on the tapas side of the menu. Options include a ceviche tostada, a charred eggplant bocadillo and a wagyu carpaccio.

The Merrymaker rooftop bar is open from 2pm onwards, Wednesday to Sunday. It closes at 9pm on Sundays, 10pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays and midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. Bookings are strongly encouraged.
