Stables Bar, Perth: Menu, location and history

The Stables Bar in Perth is inside a 19th century horse stables. These days there’s a bit more than hay on the menu.

The Stables Bar in Perth is a little piece of heritage in a city not known for preserving its past. The name isn’t entirely random – this Perth CBD bar and restaurant is in a former horse stables.

The original stables on the Hay Street site date back to 1894. You enter through iron gates, then wander down a cobblestone path. It has a strange feel of Ye Olde England that is completely at odds with the rest of the city.
