How many Perth to Geraldton buses are there?

There is, however, more than one Perth to Geraldton bus, which makes things a touch confusing. TransWA runs four coach services to Geraldton from Perth. They’re just all on different routes.

The N1 bus goes from East Perth to Geraldton and Kalbarri via Eneabba. The N2 bus goes via New Norcia, Moora and Mingenew. The N3 coach goes via Northam, Latham and Mullewa. And the E5 bus from Perth to Geraldton goes along the coast, taking in Lancelin, Cervantes and Jurien Bay.

All four services depart from East Perth station.

Perth to Geraldton bus fare prices

The good news is that whichever Perth to Geraldton bus you take, the fares are the same. It’s $71.55 for a single ticket.

The bad news is that the time it takes to get to Geraldton varies fairly dramatically. And the timetables are frankly a mess.

Perth to Geraldton bus timetable

Buses on the N5 route to Geraldton leave twice a week – at 15.45 on Fridays and 09.45 on Sundays. They arrive at 22.05 and 15.50 respectively. That Sunday service takes six hours and five minutes.

The N1 service is quicker and more frequent. It leaves at 08.30, Monday to Saturday, arriving in Geraldton at 14.30. This is the quickest service, and takes six hours.

The N2 leaves East Perth Station at 11.45 on Sundays, or 09.30 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. It arrives at Geraldton Railway Station on 18.45 on Sundays, and 16.30 on the other days. This service, taking seven hours, is obviously less desirable.

The N3 is the worst Perth to Geraldton bus, however. It leaves at 07.15 on Mondays and Thursdays, arriving at 15.50. Eight hours and 35 minutes on a bus is no fun at all.
