The Tahbilk Winery isn’t quite as fancy, but has history on its side. Wines have been made at Tahbilk since 1860, and the winery has been owned the Purbrick family since 1925.

There’s a gorgeous cellar door where the Tahbilk Winery conducts tastings. The walls are made from bricks and mud-stone made and quarried on the estate, while the supporting beams and pillars were fashioned from red gum and ironbark trees growing on the property.

Tastings are free of charge, but advance book via the Tahbilk website.

The Nagambie Brewery and Distillery has also been making waves since it opened in 2018. The beers are classic styles done well, although the gins are more experimental. The navy strength gin, in particular, is potent.
