Where is Tintenbar, NSW?

The village is set on Emigrant Creek, with the Pacific Motorway passing to the east.

Things to do in Tintenbar, NSW: Farm stalls and art studios

The Pacific Motorway is, of course, by far the ugliest road around Tintenbar. Most other options are delightfully scenic, and going for a leisurely pootle can bring you to several informal farm gate stalls.

Several specialist farms and producers have set up around Tintenbar, including Denis Madeleine Permaculture on Fernleigh Road and the nearby ByronBop Coffee Plantation.

There are also plenty of local artists in these parts. The Brooke Clunie Red Door Studio, for example, showcases locally made pottery. This pottery studio is also on Fernleigh Road.

Other things to do in Tintenbar include a truncated round of golf at the picturesque Teven Valley Golf Course and stopping for coffee and a snack at the Tintenbar General Store.

What to do in Tintenbar, NSW: Killen Falls

The main attraction in Tintenbar, however, is Killen Falls. One of the prettiest waterfalls in New South Wales, Killen Falls offers a boardwalk through the sub-tropical rainforest, a clifftop viewing platform and a walking track to the base of the falls.

It’s a very tempting spot for a swim.

Not quite in the village, but just to the north in Knockrow is Macadamia Castle. This is a bizarre combination of nut shop, wildlife park, amusement park and pastiche castle. It is cheesy as hell, but it has plodded on for long enough to become a local icon.

Tintenbar accommodation options include Toad Hall, a four bedroom house with its own outdoor pool.
