Bathurst to Orange drive: Vittoria State Forest and Macquarie Woods

The Vittoria State Forest is the main attraction on the Bathurst to Orange drive. It is primarily forestry land, but there are several walking trails through the forest.

The Macquarie Woods section is most appealing to visitors, as this area was deliberately planted to showcase different species. You’ll find conifers, yellow boxes, red stringybarks and Blakely’s red gum trees here, amongst others. There are also picnic tables if you want to eat your lunch on the journey.
