Perth to Geraldton road trip: Jurien Bay to Dongara

From Jurien Bay, the quickest route north is along Indian Ocean Drive (aka State Route 60).

The road heads past Drovers Cave National Park then Green Head before entering Leeman. After Leeman, you’ll have the Indian Ocean to the west and the Beekeepers Nature Reserve to the east.

After Illawong Beach, Freshwater Bay and the Cliffhead Rest Area, you join Highway 1 – known as the Brand Highway in these parts.

Dongara is the largest town on the Jurien Bay to Geraldton drive, however. Here, 5 Mile Beach and 7 Mile Beach are highlights here, but you can also drop by at Russ Cottage for a local history lesson.
