Goondiwindi to Dubbo road trip: Mount Kaputar and Narrabri

On the Moree to Dubbo leg of the road trip, the main towns are Narrabri and Coonabarabran. However, before reaching Narrabri, there’s a lovely little detour option to Mount Kaputar National Park. The walking trails around Sawn Rocks and Waa Gorge are thoroughly enjoyable. You’ll also get good birdwatching and mountain views around Mount Kaputar itself.

Things to do in Narrabri include the Australia Telescope Compact Array and the Narrabri Old Gaol and Museum.
