Mudgee to Tamworth road trip: Drip Walking Track and Hands on the Rock

North of Ulan, you’ll see the trailhead for the Drip Walking Track through the Goulburn River State Conservation Area. This moderate 2.8km return walk should take an hour to 90 minutes, and it heads alongside the riverbed, through dripping porous rocks and ferny surroundings.

On the opposite side of the highway is Hands on the Rock, a significant Aboriginal rock art site.

Once you reach the junction with the Golden Highway (aka the B84), turn left. Then, very soon afterwards, turn right again along Vinegaroy Road.
