Newcastle to Coffs Harbour drive: Bulahdelah and Myall Lakes National Park
On the highway, there’s Bulahdelah. Here, Bulahdelah Mountain offers several walking trails and Aboriginal tree carvings in the Worimi Cultural Area.
The route then turns west, through the northern section of Myall Lakes National Park. There’s plenty of native wildlife to find on the walk from the O’Sullivans Gap Picnic Area.
Just after the Lennys Lookout Rest Area, you can taste wines at Great Lakes Paddocks. Or you can café hop in Coolongolook and visit the National Motorcycle Museum in Nabiac.
You can also visit Khappinghat National Park, known for its mountain biking trails, just before the turn off for Taree.
