Melbourne hotels with a pool
Melbourne hotels with a pool include the five star Grand Hyatt, the four star Atlantis Hotel and the apartment-style Mantra on Russell.
Melbourne is very much an urban destination. There are some more traditional holiday spots nearby on the Great Ocean Road and Mornington Peninsula, but most people don’t come to Melbourne to chill out.
It’s no great surprise, therefore, that Melbourne hotels with a pool aren’t that common. There simply aren’t enough guests wanting to lounge by the pool to make it worth having one.
However, if you do want a pool at your Melbourne hotel, there are a few options worth considering.

Five star Melbourne hotels with a pool
The first Melbourne accommodation options to look at if you want a pool are the city’s five star hotels. Good options include the Intercontinental Rialto on Collins Street and the huge Grand Hyatt Melbourne. The Park Hyatt and Sheraton at the eastern end of the CBD are other well-reviewed options, as is the Crown Towers on Southbank.
Perhaps most unusual, however, is the quirky Adelphi Hotel, where the outdoor pool overhangs the street.
Four star Melbourne hotels with a pool
If you’re not shopping in the top price bracket, and would prefer a four star Melbourne hotel with a pool, then it’s not a total desert.
At the eastern end of the CBD, the Atlantis Hotel has a small indoor pool, as does the Novotel Melbourne on Collins and the Sebel Melbourne Docklands Hotel.

Melbourne apartment hotels with pools
Perhaps the best value, however, comes in the apartment-style hotels, many of which offer pools. These are generally four star affairs, although the ratings system gets a little murky when it comes to apartment hotels.
Centrally-located Melbourne apartment hotels with pools include the Oaks Melbourne on Market, the very highly-rated Mantra on Russell and the Citadines On Bourke.
There are also several options on Southbank. Try the Mantra Southbank, Adina Southbank or the Southbank Apartments Freshwater Place.
