Canberra to Eden drive: Cooma to Bega section

From Cooma, head along the rural Snowy Mountains Highway, where the best stops include the Pipers Lookout in the Glenbog State Forest, where the Pipers Lookout is the best photo stop.

At Morans Crossing, veer right down the West Kamaruka Road. And, from Kameruka, head down the Candelo-Bega Road past the Oak Grove Alpaca Farm.

The road joins the Princes Highway in Kingswood, although divert north if you fancy cheese-tasting in Bega.

Good places to stay in Bega include the convenient Bega Southtown Motor Inn and the pool-blessed Bega Village Motor Inn.
