Fuel stops between Port Augusta and Alice Springs

Port Augusta to Alice Springs fuel stops: Pimba to Glendambo

Almost all of these Stuart Highway stops can be marked down as rest breaks and utilitarian petrol stations. However, three have something a little more to offer.

Pimba is the turn-off for Woomera, the once top secret military town where weapons testing and space research took place. It’s worth detouring for the museum on the town’s unique history and to see loads of missiles parked outside a primary school.
