Griffith to Canberra road trip: Wallendbeen, Harden and Binalong

Continue east, and Jindalee National Park is between Stockbingal and Wallendbeen. It is not particularly well set up for visitors, although birdwatchers get plenty of joy along the trails. The national park is largely set up to preserve trees rather than provide recreation opportunities, however.

After the junction with the Olympic Highway in Wallendbeen, the Griffith to Canberra road trip properly starts to enter Canberra’s orbit.

Harden has a racecourse, showground and country club, but roadtrippers are most likely to be interested in the large scale murals on the grain silos.

Binalong, meanwhile, offers a historic railway station and an outdoor pool.
