Kings Canyon to Alice Springs via the Lasseter Highway

The safest route from Kings Canyon to Alice Springs is the most boring. To travel entirely on sealed roads from Watarrka National Park, you need to head south. The journey starts on the Luritja Road (State Route 3). From there, you then join the Lasseter Highway. Keep going west until you hit the Stuart Highway at the Erldunda Roadhouse, then continue north to Alice Springs.

The Lasseter Highway route from Kings Canyon to Alice Springs involves a frankly massive detour.  The 473km drive takes around four hours and 49 minutes. This is the route the Kings Canyon to Alice Springs bus takes.
