Port Macquarie to Yamba drive: Nambucca Heads and Bongil Bongil National Park

The highway heads back to the coast at holiday favourite Nambucca Heads, where you can go whale-watching from the Captain Cook Lookout and kayaking in Gaagal Wanggaan National Park.

The Port Macquarie to Yamba drive then passes through Bongil Bongil National Park, which offers beaches and rainforest. You can also spot koalas on the walking tracks from the Bongil Picnic Area or Sid Burke Picnic Area.
