Taree to Forster drive: Khappinghat National Park and Rainbow Flat

You’ll skirt the eastern fringe of Khappinghat National Park, best known for its mountain biking trails, before joining the Lakes Way. Just outside Rainbow Flat, there’s the Big Tap – one of Australia’s cheesy Big Things.

Rainbow Flat also hosts the Big Buzz Fun Park, a small theme park with toboggan rides and water slides.

Taree to Forster drive: Tuncurry attractions

The Taree to Forster drive then goes past the Discovery Parks Forster holiday park in Darawank before entering Tuncurry. Highlights here are the long Tuncurry Beach, the Tuncurry rock pool and beach and rainforest horse riding tours with Horseabout Tours.

You then take the bridge across the Coolongolook River into Forster.
