History of Milsons Point Station

Milsons Point Station was first opened in 1893 as the southern terminus of the North Shore railway line. It was next to a ferry terminal, from where ferries shuttled passengers across the harbour.

The station has undergone several incarnations since, mostly due to the construction of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, which linked the North Shore line to the city centre.

The station building was put on the New South Wales State Heritage Register in 1999.
