The Tea Gardens ferry timetable is not exactly extensive either. There are three departures a day from Nelson Bay. These leave at 08.30, 11.30 and 15.30. The return ferry from Tea Gardens to Nelson Bay leaves at 10.00, 14.30 and 17.15.

It should be noted that the Tea Gardens ferry is a passenger-only service. You can take your bike on, and it is wheelchair accessible. But if you want to take a car, you’re going to have to drive all the way around Port Stephens.
