Rawnsley Park Station tours in the Flinders Ranges
The Rawnsley Park Station also offer Flinders Ranges tours, reaching parts of the region those travelling in conventional vehicles can’t reach. There are five 4WD Flinders Ranges tours to choose from.
The shortest of these is the two hour Sunset on the Chace tour. This takes a 40 minute drive across the station to the Chace Range, spotting native wildlife along the way. Canapes and sparkling wine are served, with Wilpena Pound acting as a backdrop. This tour costs $110 per person.
Flinders Rangers wildlife tour
The longest Flinders Ranges 4WD tour from the Rawnsley Park Station focuses on wallabies, rocks and copper.
It looks at the Flinders Ranges wildlife and geology, stops for lunch at the Blinman Hotel, then joins a tour of the Blinman Heritage Mine. This tour costs $305 per person.
Half day 4WD Flinders Ranges tours in South Australia
Then in the middle come three half day Flinders Ranges tours. The Arkapena tour heads onto the neighbouring Arkapena Station for a defiantly offroad 4WD outing. The Station Run tour looks at how a sheep station works, including a visit to the shearing shed. And the final option heads out to Bunyeroo Gorge and Brachina Gorge, two of the most incredible gorges in the Flinders Ranges.
