McCarrs Creek Reserve, Sydney

Where is McCarrs Creek Reserve?

McCarrs Creek Reserve is an unassuming little park on the cusp of Sydney’s Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park. It is, however, in a gorgeous location at the confluence of McCarrs Creek and Cicada Glen Creek.

You’ll find it just off McCarrs Creek Road as you enter Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park from the east. This north Sydney park is in the suburb of Church Point.

Why visit McCarrs Creek Reserve?

McCarrs Creek Reserve is best used as picnic spot before entering the national park. There are several picnic tables available, plus a public barbecue if you want to go fancier than sandwiches.

It is a popular spot with families, who can let kids run around the trees without any real worries.

There’s also a boat ramp here, should you wish to putter around the waterways of northern Sydney.

You’re also likely to see brush turkeys strutting around
