The Mount Quincan Crater is 5.2km south of Yungaburra in the Atherton Tableland near Cairns.
This makes the Mt Quincan Retreat a good place to stay if visiting other attractions around Yungaburra, such as the platypus-viewing platform, the Curtain Fig, Lake Eacham and Lake Barrine. Malanda Falls is also a short drive away.

Mount Quincan Crater walks and wildlife
There are a few walking trails around the Mount Quincan Crater. The 1km crater basin walk is the easiest, while the 5km Summit Circuit Walk offers more of a work out.
There is plenty of wildlife to keep an eye out for along the way, but most notably, this is a hotspot for tree kangaroos.
The retreat has even created a natural corridor for the tree kangaroos to pass through.
