Kings Beach pool: The best place to swim in Caloundra?

The Kings Beach pool in Caloundra, Queensland, offers a 25 metre saltwater pool by Kings Beach and a spray play fountain area for children.

What is the Kings Beach pool?

The Kings Beach pool is a public swimming pool built onto the rocks in Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. It is also known as the Sir Francis Nicklin Memorial Pool.

Unlike many such ocean pools in Australia, the Kings Beach Pool doesn’t particularly feel like a natural pool carved from the rocks. It is surrounded with a paved deck and topped with shade sails. This Sunshine Coast pool is modern-looking rather than an attempt to be at one with the ocean.
