Is it safe to swim at Bulcock Beach?

Another good reason to visit Bulcock Beach is that it is a relatively safe swimming beach, largely protected from the ocean swells by Deepwater Point at the mouth of the Pumicestone Passage. The main rips are off the point itself, but the area around the surf club is generally fairly placid, and patrolled by lifesavers.

The beach swings round Deepwater Point, with the Happy Valley park behind it. You’ll find the playground, toilets and barbecues here.
