The initial section of the drive is down Two Rocks Road, running parallel to the Spot and Yanchep Beach. Just before reaching Yanchep Lagoon, you need to turn east towards Yanchep National Park. Here you can see kangaroos and koalas, or take a cave tour.

Afterwards, join Wanneroo Road and head south into Perth’s sprawling suburbia. The route runs past Carabooda Lake and the Neerabup Nature Reserve. Shortly afterwards, dogleg onto the Mitchell Freeway.

This takes you straight into the city, but there are plenty of attractions that are a short detour away. These initially include Quinns Beach, Mindarie Marina, Mindarie Beach, Burns Beach and Iluka Beach on the coast.

Attractions between Two Rocks and Perth: Wanneroo and Lake Joondalup

Go east instead, and you can enjoy the Wanneroo Markets, Wanneroo Botanic Gardens mini golf or Lake Joondalup.

The key coastal stop, however, is Hillarys Boat Harbour. This is where the Hillarys to Rottnest Island ferry departs from.

The route continues to run parallel to the likes of Mettams Pool, Trigg Beach and Scarborough Beach. But the Carrine Regional Open Space, Secret Garden and Shearwater Reserve are closer to the freeway.
