The Mount Portal Lookout is in the Glenbrook section of the Blue Mountains National Park. This Blue Mountains lookout peers over the meeting point of Glenbrook Gorge and the Nepean River.

The views from the Mount Portal Lookout offer a big contrast between the gorge, the steepening Blue Mountains foothills and the flat Cumberland Plains of Western Sydney.

How to get to the Mount Portal Lookout

The Mount Portal Lookout is at the end of the Mount Portal Trail. To get there from the Blue Mountains National Park entrance on Bruce Road, Glenbrook, follow the road along – it changes name to the Oaks Trail. Then turn left along Euroka Road and left again on the Mount Portal Trail. The latter is unsealed, but accessible in a conventional vehicle

The lookout is right next to the car park, via a very short and wheelchair-accessible trail.

Other attractions nearby include the temptingly swimmable Jellybean Pool, Aboriginal art trove Red Hands Cave and favourite kangaroo-spotting site, the Euroka Campground.
