What is the Pinnacles Loop Walking Track?

The Pinnacles Loop Walking Track is one of the easier walks in Beowa National Park near Eden on the Sapphire Coast of New South Wales.

This is a fairly easy-going Grade 3 walking track that stretches for 1.1km.

Where is the Pinnacles Loop Walking Track?

The Pinnacles Loop Walking Track is in the Pambula-Haycock section of Beowa National Park – formerly known as Ben Boyd National Park. Access is off the Princes Highway between Eden and Broadwater.

You can visit on the Merimbula to Eden section of a Sydney to Eden road trip, or as an easy side trip from Pambula if staying at Discovery Parks Pambula Beach.

There is a car park with a toilet at the trailhead for this Beowa National Park walk.

What to see on the Pinnacles Loop Walking Track?

The main reasons to visit the Pinnacles Loop Walking Track are the two lookouts that take in the Pinnacles.

The Pinnacles is an eroded cliff face mainly formed of soft white sands. However, there’s a large red clay band across the top, and the contrast between the red and white rock is jarring.

There are also good views out along the coast and towards St Lennards Island.
