The Hervey Bay to Childers drive starts off to the south past the Koala Weekend Markets and Hervey Bay Airport. Booral Road then swings round to the west and becomes the Torbanlea-Pialba Road. This goes past Vernon Conservation Park and the Purnella Park Coachhouse wedding venue.

Keep going, and you’ll find the Vernon State Forest to the north.

The Hervey Bay to Childers drive eventually reaches the Bruce Highway at Torbanlea. It then crosses the Burrum River in Burrum, skirts the edge of Howard and heads into Childers.
