Moree to Dubbo: Road trip distance, time and best attractions
Moree to Dubbo road trip: Coonabarabran and Warrumbungle National Park
At the other end of the Pillaga Forests, you reach Coonabarabran. This country NSW town is known for its stargazing. You can have a go yourself at the Siding Spring Observatory or Milroy Observatory. During the day, you can opt to go hiking in Warrumbungle National Park. You can also take a tour of Australia’s largest telescope at the Siding Spring Observatory.
The stargazing makes Coonabarabran arguably the best overnight stop on the Moree to Dubbo drive.
