Moree to Tamworth road trip: Bingara attractions

The small town of Bingara has a few spots for lunch, including the Imperial Hotel. The HF Batterham Memorial Lookout is the best place to take in the town and the surrounding landscape, but the most important sight nearby is the Myall Creek Memorial.

On Delungra Road, this memorial commemorates the worst recorded massacre of Aboriginal Australians by European settlers. At least 28 Indigenous people were killed here in 1838. The grim story is told via plaques on granite stones as part of a 600 metre walkway.
