Perth to Uluru road trip: Best stops, distance & driving time
Perth to Uluru road trip: Coober Pedy to Yulara
You can stop for petrol and snacks at the Cadney Homestead and Marla in South Australia before crossing the Northern Territory border.
On the Northern Territory section of the drive, the options are the Kulgera Roadhouse and Erldunda Roadhouse. The latter is at the junction with the Lasseter Highway.
The Lasseter Highway connects the Stuart Highway to Yulara, the hub town for Uluru. On the way, you’ll pass the Mount Conner Lookout. Don’t be fooled – as many have been in the past – into thinking that Mount Conner is Uluru. It’s similar on first glance, but it is a totally different inselberg.
The only fuel stop before Yulara is the Curtin Springs Roadhouse.
