Once the novelty of the playground equipment has worn off, there are several walking and cycling tracks in the vicinity. Most are loop paths which run through the site, and are ideal for young bike and scooter riders wanting to get a bit of practice in.
Walking tracks near Lizard Log park
For a slightly longer walk, the 1.6km Pimelea Loop circuit heads around Lizard Log. It also connects to the Parklands Track, which you can follow towards the Dairy, Moonrise Lookout, Prospect Reservoir or Calmsley Hill City Farm.
The entrance to Lizard Log is at the corner of Horsley Drive and Cowpasture Road in Abbotsbury, and there are two car parks at either side of this Sydney park.
Lizard Log is blessed with a wealth of picnic shelters and free electric barbecues. If you don’t fancy cooking up your own lunch, then the Saluti Café is right next to the park.
