Given that Reddell Beach faces south-west, it is an excellent spot for seeing the fabled Broome sunset. Again, you can see the sunset here without the Cable Beach crowds.
If you come at low tide, you can also see dinosaur footprints in the rocks just north of Reddell Point. Theropods and sauropods have left their mark here.
Getting to Reddell Beach
To get to Reddell Beach, you need to drive down the unsealed Kavite Road. Be warned: This road is not always open. Weather conditions are a factor. You’ll also need to walk along a steep, unofficial path through the cliffs from the car park to reach the beach itself.
Is it safe to swim at Reddell Beach, Broome?
It is possible to swim at Reddell Beach, Broome, but trying it is not a great idea. There are no lifeguard patrols, the currents are fiendishly strong and this is crocodile territory.
Things to do in Broome include tours of the Willie Creek Pearl Farm and helicopter rides. You can also hop aboard the old pearl luggers and drink fruity beers at Matsos Brewery.
