Aireys Inlet accommodation: Caravan park, motel or villas?

Aireys Inlet accommodation: Caravan park, motel or villas?

Accommodation in Aireys Inlet, Victoria, tends to be holiday rentals. But three alternative options are the Big4 Aireys Inlet, the Lightkeepers Inn Motel and the Aireys Inlet Getaway.

Aireys Inlet is a cute little village on the Great Ocean Road in Victoria. You’ll pass through on the drive from Torquay to Lorne.

Most visitors on the Great Ocean Road will generally choose to stay in Anglesea or Lorne either side. But there is some Aireys Inlet accommodation available should you wish to opt for the more relaxed, smaller base.

The majority of accommodation options in Aireys Inlet are private holiday rentals. In practice, a lot of these show up on the big hotel booking sites as well as AirBnb.

Aireys Inlet accommodation: Lightkeepers Inn Motel

Also on the solid but uninspiring side of the Aireys Inlet accommodation ledger is the Lightkeepers Inn Motel. Nobody is claiming this Great Ocean Road motel is luxurious, but the rooms are comfortable and generally affordable. There’s also a pool on site, and you’re close to the beach. If it’s functional and low hassle you want, with style a distant secondary consideration, the Lightkeepers Inn Motel does the job. En-suite rooms cost from $150 per night.

Aireys Inlet Getaway

At the swisher end of the scale, the Aireys Inlet Getaway is a strong option. Set among two-and-a-half acres of gardens, this small-scale resort offers a collection of studios and villas. There’s also a swimming pool, an outdoor heated spa and a tennis court, while the local birdlife often drops by. You’ll regularly see cockatoos, king parrots and crimson rosellas at the Aireys Inlet Getaway. Low season rates start at $140 per night.

Attractions in Aireys Inlet include the Split Point Lighthouse, the beach and Aireys Pub.
