Normanville accommodation: Which Normanville caravan park?

Normanville accommodation: Which Normanville caravan park?

The best Normanville caravan park on South Australia’s Fleurieu Peninsula depends on taste and budget. The Beachside Holiday Park costs more than the Jetty Caravan Park, but it has a water park.

Many Australian coastal towns have a caravan park, but Normanville in South Australia has two to choose from.

Normanville Beach is perhaps the finest of the Fleurieu Peninsula beaches south of Adelaide, although it has stiff competition from Sellicks Beach, Carrickalinga and Myponga Beach. It’s no wonder that anyone wants to stay there.

Which Normanville caravan park?

At the budget end of the market, that probably means staying in a caravan park. And which Normanville caravan park you choose will depend on taste and budget.

The Jetty Caravan Park is right on Normanville Beach, and ten minutes’ walk from the town centre. It comes with four free-to-use barbecues, a games room, tennis courts and a playground. The Jetty Caravan Park also offers free wifi, free bike hire and a big camp kitchen with TV and dining area.

The Normanville accommodation offered here ranges from basic unpowered sites for camping to one and two bedroom en-suite cabins.

Normanville accommodation: Jetty Caravan Park prices

Unpowered sites at the Jetty Caravan Park cost from $30 a night, with powered sites from $38 and en-suite sites from $50. Expect to pay $110 or more for a cabin.

The other Normanville caravan park is the Beachside Holiday Park. This is perhaps a little more child-friendly, largely due to its newly-opened water park. There’s also a toddlers’ playground and a games room.

Normanville accommodation: Beachside Holiday Park

If you’re camping in Normanville, be aware that there are no unpowered sites at the Beachside Holiday Park. The powered sites at this Normanville accommodation are a touch more expensive, too, starting at $41 a night. Supposedly deluxe cabins, sleeping up to six people, cost from $129 a night.

The Beachside Holiday Park is also a little further back from the beach, although it is closer to the Links Lady Bay golf course.

Which Normanville caravan park is best?

The Jetty Caravan Park is cheaper and in an arguably better location. But the Beachside Holiday Park has the water park which will keep the kids happy.
