Cow Bay Beach in Queensland is often regarded as the nude beach of the Daintree region in the far north of the state.

Cow Bay is a village north of the Daintree River on the drive from Cairns to Cape Tribulation. It is home to the Mount Alexandra Lookout, the Daintree Discovery Centre and Jindalba Boardwalk. The Floravilla Ice Cream Factory is here, while the Daintree Ice Cream Company and Daintree Tea Company are just to the north in Diwan.

Is Cow Bay Beach a nude beach?

Despite a reputation for being clothing-optional, Cow Bay Beach is not officially a nude beach. There are no official nude beaches in Queensland, so exercise judgement if deciding to take your clothes off here.

Cow Bay Beach is actually three beaches, which are lightly separated by rocks. Of these three, it is the third, northernmost beach that nude bathers generally use.
