What is Fonty’s Pool?

Fonty’s Pool is a large, man-made swimming pool near Manjimup in the South West region of Western Australia. It first opened in 1925, is fed by fresh spring water and has made its way onto the National Trust of Australia register.

These days, Fonty’s Pool is surrounded by the Fontys Pool Caravan Park and Chalets.

Fonty’s Pool is open to the public between 09.00 and 17.00 every day.

How much does it cost to use Fonty’s Pool?

Caravan park guests can use Fonty’s Pool without extra charge. However, there is a $3 fee to use Fonty’s Pool for members of the public that are not staying at the park.

Fonty’s Pool Caravan Park accommodation

A range of accommodation is available at the Fonty’s Pool Caravan Park and Chalets, ranging from unpowered camping sites to two bedroom chalets and a cottage.

This isn’t one of Australia’s bumper holiday parks, full of facilities, however. There are barbecues and camp kitchens, but Fonty’s Pool itself is the main source of entertainment.

Fonty’s Pool Caravan Park prices

Prices at this Manjimup caravan park vary wildly by season. Unpowered sites cost $30 during the off-season, but $42 during peak season.

Powered sites at the Fonty’s Pool Caravan Park cost $38 off peak, but that ramps up to $88 a night during peak periods.

The standard park cabins – which have kitchens but not en-suite bathrooms – cost from $90 per night. The four star chalets, which are en-suite, cost from $190 per night. Bookings can be made via the caravan park website.
