Boston Brewery in Denmark, WA: What craft beers can I taste?

The Boston Brewery in Denmark, Western Australia, serves up pale ales, the Poison Point IPA, a 4.6% wheat beer and an unusual raspberry gose.

Denmark near Albany on the south coast of Western Australia is one of the most appealing small towns in Australia. That’s largely due to the beaches, but there’s an interesting food and drink scene as well.

The Boston Brewery in Denmark is one of the drivers of this scene. Founded in 2011, the Boston Brewing Co was extended with new brewing tanks in 2015.

Boston Brewery Denmark Brewpub beers

As with many Australian microbreweries, the brewery is open to visitors. The Boston Brewery’s Denmark Brewpub is one of the best places for an evening out in the region. It is open seven days a week and has a magnificent outdoor area with several wooden tables and a children’s play area.

More importantly, of course, you can taste several beers from the Boston Brewing Co range. The taps rotate in some seasonal beers and limited editions. But the core range is always available.

Boston Brewery favourites include the 5.0% Boondie Rye Pale Ale and the 6.0% Poison Point India Pale Ale. You’ll also be able to taste The Right, a 5.7% Nut Brown Ale and Hey Hay, a 4.6% wheat beer.

The 5.6% Shark Eye Stout should do the trick on colder days and the 3.5% Little Feller Mild Ale is good for longer sessions.

Should you wish to try something unusual, then there’s the 4.5% Afterglose – a raspberry gose. There’s also the 3.5% Tingletop ginger beer.

Boston Brewing Co in Victoria Park

The newest development with the Boston Brewery, however, is that you don’t need to go to Denmark to taste the beers. The Boston Brewing Co has opened up a new bar and restaurant in the Victoria Park neighbourhood of Perth. The menu at Vic Park puts an emphasis on sharing plates, but you can still work your way through the Boston Brewery beers.
