But the Arthurs Seat State Park offers more than just the lookout – there are several good walking trails too.

Arthurs Seat State Park walks: Summit Circuit Walk & Kings Falls Circuit Walk

The perennial favourite amongst these Arthurs Seat State Park walks is the Summit Circuit Walk. This is a 1.8km loop that takes in several attractions, including the Matthew Flinders Cairn, Seawinds Gardens and Indigenous Garden. There are a few steps, but it’s not a difficult walk. Budget an hour to complete the Summit Circuit Walk.

Elsewhere in the park, the Kings Falls Circuit Walk starts off from the car park on Waterfall Gully Road. The 1km return walk heads through native vegetation, and there’s a good chance of spotting koalas on the way. It’s part gravel trails, part boardwalk, with a few steep sections. Aside from the native wildlife, the scenic highlights are Kings Falls and Waterfall Gully Creek. Again, the Kings Falls Circuit Walk should take you about an hour.

Arthurs Seat State Park walks: OT Dam & Two Bays Walking Track

For something a bit longer, try the hilly, 3km OT Dam Circuit Walk. Park up at Arthurs Seat Road, then head to the deep, forested gully and the OT Dam. This walk should take around two hours.

Those wanting a true challenge, however, should plump for the Two Bays Walking Track. This 26km walk takes eight to ten hours one way, and most walkers split it up into two days. It stretches from the Dromana Foreshore Reserve to Bushrangers Bay near Cape Schanck, passing through the Arthurs Seat State Park along the way.
