Walk the Mimosa Rocks Walking Track

The Mimosa Rocks Walking Track in the northern section of the park is a perfect introduction to the park. It’s an easy 2km return walk from the Aragunnu car park, and includes a boardwalk section.

The Mimosa Rocks Walking Track finishes at a coastal lookout. Look carefully and you’ll see the Mimosa shipwreck stranded against a large rock.

The walk is wheelchair-friendly, and passes a large Aboriginal midden.

Watch whales at the Wajurda Point Lookout

The Wajurda Point Lookout in the southern section of the park offers fantastic coastal views all year round. The scene takes in Nelson Beach and the Baronda Headland.

Come in the winter months, however, and you’ve got an excellent chance of seeing migrating humpback whales.

Camp at Gillards campground

Of the campgrounds in Mimosa Rocks National Park, Gillards campground has the best facilities. This national park campground is just behind Gillards Beach and has 40 sites. There are also toilets, picnic tables and barbecues.
