Dubbo to Bourke distance and driving time

By car, the distance from Dubbo to Bourke is 370km, almost entirely along the Mitchell Highway. This makes for a driving time of around three hours and 57 minutes. This can be tackled in one stint, perhaps with a quick toilet or fuel stop thrown into the itinerary. But there are a few road trip stops that are arguably worth making along the way.

Dubbo to Bourke road trip stops: Narromine

The first leg of the Dubbo to Bourke drive is from Dubbo to Nyngan. The first town you’ll pass through is Narromine, home to the Narromine Aviation Museum. Of the several vintage aircraft on display here, the highlight is the first flyable replica of the Wright Flyer Model A.

You’ll also find a statue of Australian cricketer Glenn McGrath in Tom Perry Park.
