One of the two major routes through the Blue Mountains climbs through Kurrajong. Bells Line of Road eventually climbs to attractions such as the Wildwood Garden, Mt Tomah Botanic Gardens and Mount Banks Summit Walk. But Kurrajong is where the climb starts in earnest.

This position on a major tourist route means Kurrajong has a better collection of places to eat than most towns of its size. Many of these cafés and restaurants are sited on the ridgeline, offering rather splendid views, too.
