Where is William Creek, South Australia?

William Creek is one of Australia’s classic outback towns. Well, town might be pushing it a little. The population hovers around 10 people. 210km north-west of Marree and 166km east of Coober Pedy, this bizarre little settlement is a staging post on the Oodnadatta Track.

It is also part of the Anna Creek Station, the world’s largest cattle station.

Opposite the pub are some remnants and informational signs about the old Ghan railway line, which used to pass through here.
