Mortlake Ferry, Sydney: Putney Punt cost and timetable
The Mortlake Ferry crosses the Parramatta River from Mortlake to Putney. There’s no cost to use the vehicle ferry service, which is also known as the Putney Punt.
The Mortlake Ferry in Sydney feels like a remnant of a bygone era. Once upon a time, there were several ferry services across the Parramatta River. But over the years several bridges have been built, reducing the need for vehicle ferry services.
The Mortlake Ferry, therefore, is the last cable ferry across the Parramatta River. Also known as the Putney Punt, this small vehicle ferry crosses from Hilly Street in Mortlake to Pellisier Road in Putney.
