Hahndorf Farm Barn, Adelaide Hills: Shows, prices & animals

The Hahndorf Farm Barn in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia, allows children to get close to farm and native Australian animals.

What is the Hahndorf Farm Barn?

The Hahndorf Farm Barn in Hahndorf, South Australia, is a family-friendly attraction in the Adelaide Hills. It’s a hybrid between a children’s farmyard and a wildlife park. But the key thing for kids is that they can touch or feed most of the animals.

Most of the animals at the Hahndorf Farm Barn are traditional farmyard creatures such as cows, sheep, ducks and goats. However, there are also some native Australian animals to get close to. These include kangaroos and emus. You can’t get quite as close to the reptiles, but they’re on display inside the barn.

Non-native creatures you might not be expecting include the camel, ostrich and deer.
