Angourie Resort: Why should I choose this Yamba accommodation?

The Angourie Resort in Yamba is surrounded by rainforest and has fab pools, while the apartments and villas have full kitchen facilities. Rates for apartments start at $200 per night.

The Angourie Resort near Yamba, New South Wales, bills itself as a coastal retreat surrounded by lush subtropical rainforest.

Near the mouth of the Clarence River in the Northern Rivers region, Yamba has become one of Australia’s hottest holiday towns in recent years. And, if you want to stay in Yamba, the Angourie is one of the plushest accommodation options

Angourie Resort swimming pools

One of the main selling points of the Angourie Resort is the complex of swimming pools. There’s a lagoon-style resort pool, plus a 25 metre lap pool and a kids’ pool with a waterslide and water spouts.

This Yamba hotel also offers a day spa with steam room and therapy pool, should you require a little extra pampering.

Yamba accommodation: Apartments and villas

For the actual accommodation itself, there’s a choice of one bedroom apartments and two bedroom villas. The one bedroom apartments come with corner spa baths that have enough room for two people. There’s also outdoor seating on a private, enclosed veranda or patio, plus a full kitchen.

The two bedroom villas are a more suitable family option, as the second bedroom comes with both a single and double bed. You can, therefore, fit in up to two adults and two children. These timber-floored bungalows also come with full kitchen and laundry facilities, plus two bathrooms.

Angourie Resort prices

The apartments at the Angourie Resort cost from $200 a night, while the two bedroom villas cost from $225.

What the Angourie Resort doesn’t have is beach access – something the resort website is skilled in glossing over. Yamba Main Beach and Pippi Beach aren’t too far away, but you are looking at a five minute drive rather than being able to stroll out onto the sand.
