Four amazing places to swim on Fraser Island

Fraser Island swimming spots: Eli Creek

Of all the Fraser Island swimming spots, Eli Creek is the most fun. Near the Maheno Shipwreck on 75 Mile Beach, this creek gently winds its way onto the beach and – eventually – into the ocean. A boardwalk is constructed next to it, so you can walk from beach to forest along the creek.

It’s much more fun coming the other way, however. Eli Creek’s current makes it into a natural lazy river that you can drift along.

It’s no wonder, therefore, that several people turn up to Eli Creek with rubber or plastic tubes, and merrily float along.

Seven different Fraser Island tours pay a visit to Eli Creek. Pick whichever is the best fit for your budget and timeframe.
